This is the first picture that I painted after I got back to India after going to the UK for six weeks.

The break was very good for me.  There were a lot of things that I found difficult, such as the wedding of my daughter, but I also saw friends and had insights which were very powerful.

I painted this picture because it was so difficult to put what I felt into words.  It was the feeling – but more than a feeling, a very deep knowing – that Buddha Garden is my place.  I called it 'bone knowing' and since experiencing this whatever it was it seems to have stilled the constant dialogue in my brain about whether I should stay in Auroville or not.  Its such a relief to have that kind of knowing.

This is my place so this is where I stay.  And presumably if it ever changes I will know in the same way as I experienced this knowing.
